Main Stills & Video Camera

Sony a7 IV

I’ve been using this camera as my primary stills camera, and have been using it more for video as well. It is a great piece of kit providing excellent resolution, auto-focus, colors, and ease of use for me.

Sony FE 40mm f/2.5

This is an excellent every-day kind of lens. Super versatile and capable. It’s not extremely bright, but I don’t think it needs to be. It is very sharp, and small enough to be unobtrusive in almost any situation.

Sony FE 85mm f/1.8

I have used this lens on multiple weddings, and throughout my other photography adventures as well. I find this lens to be quite sharp, pretty light, and quick to focus. I really like it and it has been in my arsenal for a long time.

Benro TMA47AXL Extra Long Series 4 Mach3 Aluminum Tripod

I got this tripod specifically because it was big and heavy, and could hold really still. I’ve been extremely impressed with it, and it will go way taller than I will ever need.

Lewitt LCT 440 Pure

I have been very impressed with the sound quality on this relatively inexpensive microphone. I’ve used it on multiple projects, YouTube videos, and music production.

Rode Interview Pro

This microphone’s killer feature is being able to record directly onto the microphone. Extremely handy for run-and-gun recording, and has handling and wind noise rejection that never fails to impress me.

Solid State Logic SSL 2+ MKII USB-C Audio/MIDI Interface

Absolutely the best audio interface I’ve ever used. Performs nearly perfectly across any metric, and has plenty of power to drive high-impedance headphones. I use this all the time, and it has a permanent place in my setup.

Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro 250 OHM

I use these for podcast production, video editing, and critical listening for mixing. These are quite comfortable and perform really well. I often end up using them when I just want to listen to music or watch something on my computer, because I really love the way they sound.
